I got amazing value for my money at Casa Antiga Do Monte Guest House. The room was cozy, with a beautiful view of the countryside. The staff, especially Carmen and Ana, treated us like family and went above and beyond to make our stay special.
The breakfast could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

I chose this hotel for attending a conference and I was impressed with the featured amenities such as the business center and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. The bar/lounge and sauna were also great for relaxation after a long day of work.
I wish they had offered 24-hour room service for those late night work sessions. It would have been a convenient option for me as a busy businessman.

The Casa Antiga has a fantastic tour desk, where they helped us plan our activities in the area. We enjoyed horse riding and had a great time playing table tennis at the property.
In my wife's opinion, the Casa Antiga could benefit from having a children's play area.

The hotel's decoration was wonderfully charming, with beautiful traditional features that reminded me of years gone by. The general areas were well-maintained and comfortable, providing a cozy atmosphere for guests. As a senior woman, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with easy access to common areas and facilities that catered to my needs.
I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there in organizing activities specifically designed for senior guests.

A hidden gem in the countryside, this hotel offers a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay, providing shuttle service and helpful recommendations. The freshly prepared food served in the restaurant is mouthwatering, and the comfortable rooms with embroidered linens and balconies add a touch of luxury to the experience.
There were a couple of downsides during our stay. we were not aware that our dates coincided with a local festival, resulting in noisy nights that disturbed our sleep.

Loved the "outdoor excitement" of hiking to find the gym. The "beautiful" waterfall didn't drown out the sound of "attractions" nearby. The children's play area was great for hiding from screaming kids.
Who needs safety features when you have a fire extinguisher? So disappointed in the lack of danger.

The swimming pool is a dream for swimmers, with its cleanliness and perfect length for laps. The garden is a peaceful haven, complete with a charming pond and cozy sitting areas. The homemade cheesecake and almond cake are to die for, made by the warm lady at reception. Don't forget to save room for dessert! The staff are incredibly friendly and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is exceptional. If you're doing the Camino, they'll even pick you up and drop you off along the way. The food is fresh and delicious, served in the restaurant every evening. The hotel itself is stunningly beautiful and only a short walk from town. It's the perfect base for exploring Santiago and the Atlantic Coast. I can't recommend this place enough - it's filled with high-quality touches and has everything you need for a fantastic stay.

The swimming pool was clean and perfect for doing laps, and the garden had a lovely pond and sitting areas. The homemade cheesecake and almond cake at the hotel were absolutely delicious. Make sure to save room for dessert!
The coffee and tea at breakfast were left out for us and were already cold by the time we sat down to eat. It would have been better if they were served fresh and hot.

A Hidden Gem in a Tranquil Setting
We had a truly delightful stay at a charming guest house nestled in a peaceful location. The hotel exuded warmth and character, making us feel right at home. The friendly and attentive staff went above and beyond to make our visit memorable - they even provided us with useful shortcuts to enhance our experience. The inviting pool was a refreshing oasis, perfect for unwinding after a long day's walk. And to top it all off, we had the privilege of staying in the same room where the legendary Placido Domingo once rested and sang. this guest house exceeded our expectations and we wholeheartedly recommend it for a serene getaway.

We had a great stay at a charming guest house near the Camino. The room was spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. The surrounding area was peaceful and beautiful, perfect for a relaxing stay. Although there were a few minor inconveniences, such as the breakfast timing and language barrier, overall I would recommend this hotel for its lovely ambiance and comfortable accommodations.
